Kerida started performing on stage at the age of 5. Kerida's childhood was no ordinary childhood. While attending school and achieving outstanding grades, Kerida was also touring and performing with the El Sadiek band. Kerida performed at small concerts and large stadiums in Guyana, Canada, Trinidad and Tobago, and Suriname with the El Sadiek band. She performed covers and also her original songs “Sweet Chutney” and “Papa yo Drunk” written and produced by her father.

Kerida and her family immigrated to the U.S in 2006. It was an exciting time for Kerida who in addition to going to school, and making music with her family started modeling and eventually got a certificate from the Barbizon Modeling School
